Teaching God’s Word with Clarity, Conviction, and Faithfulness—for This Generation and the Next.
Teach for God Ministries exists because God has spoken.
The foundation of this ministry is the conviction that God has graciously revealed Himself through the Holy Scriptures. Because He has spoken, His Word is true, trustworthy, sufficient, and authoritative for every generation. It is therefore both the privilege and the responsibility of God’s people to study His Word carefully, believe it wholeheartedly, live it faithfully, and teach it accurately.
Teach for God was not established to promote a personality, build an organization, or simply publish resources. Its purpose is to glorify God by helping people know Him more deeply through the faithful teaching of His Word. Every Bible study, article, book, chart, class, and teaching resource is intended to serve that single purpose.
For more than four decades, God has graciously provided opportunities to teach His Word in churches, Christian schools, classrooms, conferences, and personal discipleship. Throughout those years one conviction has remained unchanged: God’s Word never returns empty, and faithful teaching remains one of the Lord’s primary means of strengthening His Church.
Teaching, however, is never an end in itself. The goal is not merely the transfer of biblical information, but the transformation of lives through the work of the Holy Spirit as men and women come to know God, trust His promises, obey His commands, and faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Scripture was not given merely to inform our minds but to shape our hearts, direct our lives, and lead us into worship.
The ministry of Teach for God is guided by four enduring commitments.
First, we seek to know God through His Word. The Christian life begins and matures not in human wisdom but in God’s self-revelation. As the Apostle John wrote of the spiritual fathers, they were distinguished by one defining characteristic: they knew Him who is from the beginning (1 John 2:13–14). Every resource produced through this ministry is written with that same desire—that readers might know the living God more fully.
Second, we seek to study God’s Word with diligence and humility. Faithful teaching begins with faithful learning. Before God’s truth can be taught, it must first be carefully understood, prayerfully considered, and personally embraced.
Third, we seek to live the truth we teach. Biblical knowledge without obedience falls short of God’s purpose. The Scriptures continually call believers not only to hear the Word but to walk in it. Every teacher remains first a disciple, continually submitting to the authority of God’s Word.
Finally, we seek to entrust God’s truth to others. The Apostle Paul instructed Timothy to entrust what he had learned to faithful men who would also teach others (2 Timothy 2:2). This pattern of faithful stewardship—from one generation to the next—lies at the heart of Teach for God Ministries. Our desire is not simply to communicate truth for today, but to encourage faithful teachers who will continue proclaiming God’s Word in the years to come.
Teach for God is, therefore, an act of stewardship. Every lesson prepared, every book written, every chart designed, every class taught, and every conversation about Scripture is offered with gratitude to God and in service to His Church. The ministry belongs to Christ. Its message is His Word. Its purpose is His glory.
If these resources help readers know God more deeply, love Christ more faithfully, understand the Scriptures more clearly, and teach His truth more accurately, then Teach for God will have fulfilled its calling.
Soli Deo Gloria.
