{"id":895,"date":"2012-04-16T21:46:00","date_gmt":"2012-04-17T04:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teach4god.com\/OTS\/?p=895"},"modified":"2014-04-02T05:23:59","modified_gmt":"2014-04-02T12:23:59","slug":"psalm-66","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teach4god.com\/OTS\/2012\/04\/16\/psalm-66\/","title":{"rendered":"Psalm 66"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm%2066&amp;version=NASB\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS; color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS; color: #0000ff;\">Psalm 66<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This psalm reminds me of <span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%205.13-16&amp;version=NASB\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS; color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS; color: #0000ff;\">Matthew 5.13-16<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\">. It is the idea of telling the world about God without using words because of the godly lifestyle we live (<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS; color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS; color: #0000ff;\">1 Peter 3.1-6)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>It is inviting us to come and see that the Lord is God. This psalm focuses on whom God is and what He has done for His people. The psalmist invites us, all people of the earth, to worship God with him:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Verses 1\u20134-Come and shout God\u2019s glory. Pause, reflect\u00a0(Selah), on what and who the Lord is.<\/li>\n<li>Verses 5\u20137-Come and see God\u2019s gracious work. Pause, reflect\u00a0(Selah), on what the Lord has done. We are to reflect\u00a0on the past to glorify Him and to grow in faith for what must be done today and in the future.<\/li>\n<li>Verses 8\u201315-Come and be blessed and be a blessing. Pause, reflect\u00a0(Selah), on what God can do for and through us.<\/li>\n<li>Verses 16\u201320-Come and hear the testimony of God\u2019s work in people\u2019s lives. Has what God has done for you reached the ears of those around you? Is your life a walking testimony of who He is and of what He has done for you and through you? The beginning of this type of life, the life He created for you to live, is to come to Him in repentance, prayer, and study of His Word.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is the story of the woman at the well when she met Jesus.
