It is describing the movement from\u00a0Obed-edom\u00a0into Jerusalem with the pomp given it. The psalm calls us to praise the God who cares for the needy with a pause )Selah( for us to ponder whether we do the same.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>History unfolds placing the Ark in its proper place with another pause for us to reflect on the God who saves us.<\/p>\n<p>The procession is marked\u00a0with various peoples participating in the festivities. David then gives two short songs proclaiming God\u2019s deliverance and God\u2019s rule over all the earth.<\/p>\n<p>Paul quotes this verse in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Ephesians%204.8&amp;version=NASB\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS; color: #0000ff;\"><span><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS; color: #0000ff;\">Ephesians 4.8<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>What is of interest are the varied names God is called\u00a0in this one psalm. He is called Elohim (1-\u05d0\u05b1\u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd),\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\"><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\">Yah (4-\u05d9\u05b8\u05d4\u05bc)<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\">, Shaddai (14-\u05e9\u05b7\u05c1\u05d3\u05b7\u05bc\u05d9)<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\">, Yah Elohim (18-\u05d9\u05b8\u05d4\u05bc \u05d0\u05b1\u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b4\u05bd\u05d9\u05dd )<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\">, Adonai (19-\u05d0\u05b2\u05d3\u05b9\u05e0\u05b8\u05d9)<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\">, and Jehovah Adonai (20-\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05b4\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b2\u05d3\u05b9\u05e0\u05b8\u05d9)<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS;\">.
