1 Chronicles 10<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> (<\/span>1 Samuel 31.1-13<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>; cf. the study from <\/span>1 Samuel 31<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n

This chapter is a review of the death of Saul with an addition in verses 13-14. This is where we will concentrate this short study.<\/p>\n

Ezra, the writer of the Chronicles, gives two reasons for Saul\u2019s death and informs the reader of whom actually killed Saul. Saul did not obey the Word of God nor the way of God. He decided to offer his own sacrifices (see the study in 1 Samuel 13<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>) and payed homage to himself (<\/span>1 Samuel 15<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>), and then consult a medium (see the study in <\/span>1 Samuel 28<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Verse fourteen informs us that God killed Saul. Saul\u2019s death was not by his own hand but by the hand of God. God had let Saul pursue the desires of his heart, which led to death (Proverbs 14.12<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
