{"id":1429,"date":"2012-06-15T15:24:34","date_gmt":"2012-06-15T22:24:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.teach4god.com\/OTS\/?p=1429"},"modified":"2014-02-09T08:46:52","modified_gmt":"2014-02-09T16:46:52","slug":"psalm-119-89-104","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teach4god.com\/OTS\/2012\/06\/15\/psalm-119-89-104\/","title":{"rendered":"Psalm 119.89-104"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm%20119.89-104&amp;version=NASB\" target=\"new\">Psalm 119.89-104<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u05dc Lamed\u00a0Verses 89-96<\/p>\n<p>These verses establish the immutability of God\u2019s Word (c.f.,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Isaiah%2040.8&amp;version=NASB\" target=\"new\">Isaiah 40.8<\/a>;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%2024.35&amp;version=NASB\" target=\"new\">Matthew 24.35<\/a>; and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Peter%201.25&amp;version=NASB\" target=\"new\">1 Peter 1.25<\/a>). Nature shows this truth as well. The seeming permanence of heaven mirrors God\u2019s eternal faithfulness, love, and compassion for His creation. Just as the universe works according to His laws (91), so we must work according to His Word. We see, in society, today, what happens when we follow our own moral code instead of God\u2019s. The psalmist is reminding us of the eternal perfection of God\u2019s established Word and how we fall short of it each time we stray from it.<\/p>\n<p>\u05de Mem\u00a0Verses 97-104<\/p>\n<p>The psalmist presents how useful knowing God\u2019s Word is for everyday life. When we obey God\u2019s Word, His wisdom runs through us and our understanding of what life is truly about goes beyond our years, our teachers, and our enemies. However, the results are astounding. How are you doing in knowing and loving God\u2019s Word?
