He uses forced labor, not only from conquered countries but from Israel. The twelve division of governors are displayed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/teach4god.com\/OTS\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Map-Growth-of-Israel-under-Solomon.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\">map of the growth of Israel under Solomon<\/a> and his r<a href=\"https:\/\/teach4god.com\/OTS\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Map-Solomons-Reapportioning-of-Israel.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\">eapportioning of Israel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Verses 20-21 are added to signify the era of peace and prosperity that God introduced through Solomon. It is also given to provide a word of fulfillment of God\u2019s word to Abraham. That word, from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Genesis+22:17&amp;version=NASB\" target=\"new\">Genesis 22.17<\/a>, states that the descendants of Abraham would be as numerous as the grains of sand on the shore. The borders stretching to Egypt was also a prophecy and a promise given to Abraham in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Genesis%2015.18&amp;version=NASB\" target=\"new\">Genesis 15.18<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Verses 22-28 depict his kingdom, wealth, and military. As for his horsemen, read\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Deuteronomy%2017.16&amp;version=NASB\" target=\"new\">Deuteronomy 17.16<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/teach4god.com\/OTS\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Map-Solomons-Empire-at-its-Zenith.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\">Verse 24 describes the zenith of Solomon\u2019s reign.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Verses 29-34 display the worldwide fame Solomon and wisdom. He wrote most of the Proverbs. His songs are contained in Psalm 72 and<a href=\"https:\/\/teach4god.com\/OTS\/2012\/05\/28\/psalm-127\/\" target=\"new\">Psalm 127<\/a>\u00a0along with the Song of Solomon. He also wrote the lyrical book of Ecclesiastes. His name became synonymous with wisdom (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%2012.42&amp;version=NASB\" target=\"new\">Matthew 12.42<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The four names that appear here are listed as descendants of Judah in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/teach4god.com\/OTS\/2012\/03\/08\/1-chronicles-2\/\" target=\"new\">1 Chronicles 2.6<\/a>, and two of the men, Ethan and Heman, appear in the superscriptions of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/teach4god.com\/OTS\/2012\/03\/18\/psalm-88\/\" target=\"new\">Psalm 88<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/teach4god.com\/OTS\/2012\/04\/07\/psalm-89\/\" target=\"new\">Psalm 89<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1 Kings 4 Verses 1-6 are a listing of Solomon\u2019s administrators.
